What your employees get

  • Midwives, instantly

Employees message NMC-registered midwives in the Dearbump app and get a reply from a real person. No appointment, no waiting list, no sick day to see a GP about a worry.

  • A free Dearbump box

Every employee who joins gets a Dearbump pregnancy and baby box, worth over £60, delivered free to their door.

  • Return to work support

Guides, checklists and a course on going back after leave: KIT days, the return meeting, breastfeeding at work and their rights.

  • A community of parents

A WhatsApp community for parents who feel cut off, so nobody has to work out the first year alone.

See what’s inside: the health hub, the Dearbump box and the return to work resources.

What the midwives help with

Safe, evidence-based advice, with employees choosing what they ask about.

  • Life after birth, up to your baby’s second birthday
  • Feeding, sleeping and baby behaviour
  • Mental health in pregnancy and after birth
  • Family planning
  • Getting ready to go back to work
  • Partners too, not just the person who’s pregnant

What employers say

Our employer service used to be called Parent Promise. It’s now part of Dearbump.

  • “Rock Solid Knowledge had the pleasure of working with Parent Promise whilst designing a lactation and wellbeing room. Natalie and Emma quickly jumped on a call with me, and we discussed current breastfeeding/chestfeeding policies, personal experiences, the changing world of work.”

    Tegen Eve
    HR Manager, Rock Solid Knowledge
  • “The onboarding process was easy and accessible which allowed us to introduce the firm to it with excitement and understanding. The feedback we have received from our employees has been very positive and they have really bought into this service. This makes us feel that we are caring for our employees and upholding our company values.”

    Bethany Hamilton
    HR Advisor, BPE Solicitors
  • “BPE has always had family friendly policies, such as a miscarriage policy and a fertility treatment policy, but it has been difficult to show our support in other ways. Parent Promise aligns with our family friendly ethos, supporting employees who may not otherwise ask for it. Becoming a parent can be exciting, scary, and overwhelming at the same time and this service helps our employees know that we are there to support them through all of it.”

    Amanda Coleman
    Head of HR, BPE Solicitors

Why employers offer it

  • People stay when they feel supported

Pregnancy and the return to work are when many people decide whether they can stay. Practical support before and after leave gives them a reason to.

  • Support people might not ask for

Some employees won’t raise a worry with their manager or HR. A one-to-one chat with a midwife gives them somewhere to start.

  • Something you can point to

Family friendly policies are easier to believe when they come with real help. Show candidates and current staff what you offer.

Questions from employers

Who can use Dearbump through work?
Employees who are pregnant or have a baby up to two years old, and partners, with help for the return to work too. We’ll agree who’s included when we set you up.
Who are the midwives?
They’re NMC-registered midwives who work for Dearbump, which is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Is the midwife support a replacement for NHS care?
No. Dearbump’s midwives give information, reassurance and signposting, but they don’t replace an employee’s own maternity team. In an emergency, people should call 999.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the size of your team and what you’d like included. Get in touch and we’ll send you a quote.
How do employees sign up?
Through one sign-up link that we give you to share with your team.

Support your team through the biggest change of their working lives.
